Elevator will redesign the website to give it a whole new look, feel and enhanced functionality with a strong focus on user-experience and responsive design. The agency will also develop a new brand style guide for the City.
As part of the redesign process, Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer recently announced the launch of a survey (sandiego.gov/designSD) to learn what locals and visitors think about San Diego as well as why users visit the City website, what tasks they hope to accomplish when there and how it can be optimized for a better user experience in the future. The survey will be active through April 17 with the goal of collecting 1,400 responses. After the survey process is complete, Elevator will take the data collected and incorporate the findings into the website redesign.

The new site is expected to launch in early 2016.
