Allgire Foundation
Empowering affordable housing communities
Overview
The Allgire Foundation is the nonprofit community service initiative of Allgire General Contractors (AGC), a Southern California-based construction firm. Through AGC’s work in the community, they know first-hand how seniors, individuals and families can use a lending hand when moving into their new homes. The foundation was established in 2020.
Challenge
There are numerous nonprofit organizations and foundations in San Diego that do a lot for the community, so finding ways to get Allgire Foundation to shine among its peers was one of the biggest challenges. As a new kid on the block, it was important to highlight the foundation’s unique work, the regional legacy of Allgire General Contractors, and personalize the impact of their community outreach.
Results
The Scatena Daniels team created consistent key messaging for all content and media outreach activities. We had a strategic planning process in place to attract media coverage and attention. We featured scholarship recipients to personalize the altruistic work of the foundation and enhance our human interest story pitching. We proactively gathered photos and videos during the foundation’s events and distributed them promptly to broadcast, print, and digital media outlets that were not able to be onsite to cover. By amplifying their story and expertise, we elevated Allgire Foundation and offered visibility to their programs among the broader community who in turn benefited from their services. This created trust for stakeholders and donor contributions to the foundation.
