It’s been a season to remember at Scatena Daniels Communications and our healthcare PR work!
After taking home a Bronze Anvil at the national Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Anvil Awards, our team was thrilled to learn we also earned top honors at the annual Health Care Communicators of Southern California’s Finest Awards.
The Health Care Communicators of Southern California’s (HCCSC) Finest Awards is an annual awards competition that recognizes exceptional marketing and communications in the healthcare industries of Southern California.
This year, the Finest Awards healthcare communication professionals and teams submitted 125 entries representing 24 organizations throughout Southern California. Our team’s submissions competed with national healthcare advertising agencies, major healthcare organizations, and established hospital systems in Southern California.
Scatena Daniels came out on top to earn the following recognition at the 2024 HCCSC Finest Awards:
- Gold Award in the Writing: Op-Ed/Editorial category for our work on San Diego Blood Bank’s Precision Blood op-ed series.
- Gold Award in the Writing: News Release/Pitch Letter category for our work on the launch of San Diego Blood Bank’s Precision Blood initiative.
- The two Gold Awards for our work with San Diego Blood Bank were further recognized as two of the four “Best in Show” honors, which are entries with the single highest score.
- A Silver Award in the Writing: Op-Ed/Editorial for our work on Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties’ Editorial Campaign: “Countering Misinformation in Fontana.”
The Finest Awards recognition in the Writing category specifically celebrates a high standard of written communications that best serve an organization’s mission.
